A Different Print

Today was another family dinner. All these dinners are definitely going to influence my new years resolutions!  This top has a very unique print of green mixed with grey. Hope everyone is having a good end of the year!

Teal and Black

Today was a fun day! This skirt just came in the mail from The Limited and I think there are going to be a lot of ways to style it. For tonight, I went for a more low-key look because I was going to dinner with someone's grandparents. I like the black and teal and the scarf went perfect with it and is from London. If you are wondering why I keep cropping out my head it's because I have been wearing my glasses because my eyes have been bothering me and red eye is not a good look. Lol

A Comfy Look

I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays!
Today is an odd day because for the first time in a long time I do not have to be dressed up for school or any other function. I am babysitting today and I needed to dress for comfort and quick mobility (i.e. no heels). This dress is super old, but so comfy and the boots are a nice, thick warm material. Usually I stay away from Uggs, but these are just too unique. The scarf I received for Christmas and it's very different, kind of vintage mixed with fashion, or so I think. Well, off to babysit!

Floral and A New Shoe

Today was our last day before Christmas break and we had a great day at school. Today I picked my outfit around a recently acquired pair of shoes. These shoes are the most unique color of a bronze/olive so I wanted to make sure the outfit complimented them. They were an amazing find, originally forty... on sale for twenty... buy one get one half off took them down to ten and then a twenty percent off made the final price eight dollars! They are so unique and comfy! A bargain and a school break all in one week!

A Christmas Party and DIY shoes

Well I'm off to the Christmas party to watch a Christmas movie with all the students and then enjoy some tasty candy. We had a jeans day and I picked red to match the theme.

Shoes- Made by Me!

I actually made these shoes by taking a cheap pair of silver glitter flats and adding the ribbon bows and lining onto them. What do you think? I'm thinking of doing another pair. :)

A Silver Bow

Today the kids completed their presentations in my class so we all dressed for the occasion. In the spirit of Christmas, I decided on a silver dress with a bow today, which may have resembled a present. I picked a bright pink belt to bring some color to the outfit. I couldn't have worn this dress without layering it and this black top is my go to layering top because it is super light weight. I love these shoes because it was actually quite hard to find cute gray shoes. Happy Holidays to everyone already on break, I'll be joining you come Friday!

Green and Tweed = A Christmas Tree

I decided to participate in Statements in Fashion's Christmas Challenge to dress using a popular Christmas color. What a great challenge that avoids the dreaded tacky Christmas sweater! I ended up picking the color green. This picture was taken at the end of a long school day so excuse the messy hair. I picked a brown tweed skirt to go with a simpler green top. I love this skirt cause it matches so many items in my closet and has a nice black defining band at the waist so you don't need to wear a belt with it. My necklace has bows on it and the locket is inscribed "with all my heart" which is how I approach my teaching style. I realized later that with the brown,  green, and bows I resembled a Christmas tree! Happy Holidays everyone!

Purple and Leopard

Today is the first day that it's really gotten cold out I decide to match purple with leopard to give that extra energy to an otherwise drab day. I am so excited because there is only this week and then it will be Christmas! The students are finishing up an huge project and I can't wait to see the results. Happy Monday!

Welcome

Welcome to my first blog! I am a first year teacher who just graduated college. I am currently navigating my first year as a middle level teacher. I am trying to break the stereotyped teacher wardrobe and bring a sense of professionalism and pride into my classroom every day. I was inspired to start a fashion blog after stumbling across several other fashionable teachers' blogs.
I am working on a budget and learning how to transition from a college student's closet to a fashionable woman's wardrobe. I try to incorporate color and youth into my outfits, but avoid looking like any of my students at all costs. I am extremely busy so I focus on finding outfits that don't require any large amount of planning time, since enough of that time is used at school. The name for this blog was inspired by the two uses of the word 'class'

class

noun- a group of students meeting regularly to study a subjectunder the guidance of a teacher
adjective- of high quality, integrity, status, or style

Always,
